Prices

Following your consultation / enquiry, your quote is valid for 6 months, paying your initial payment (see below) secures this price & prevents any further price increases.

 

Cake deposits and payments

 A non-refundable £20 payment for our one tier cakes is required to secure your booking and a non-refundable £50 payment for our two tier cakes to secure your booking. The remaining balance of your order will be due one week before your chosen date.

Any bookings larger than this the deposit will be discussed during your consultation / enquiry.

Any bookings under £50 must be paid for in full at the time of enquiry for your booking to be secure.

If your deposit is not paid within 1 week of quoting then we reserve the right to cancel any previous arrangements, release your chosen date for another customer to make an order and your booking will not go ahead.

If the remaining balance is not paid off 7 days before your order is due we reserve the right to cancel any arrangements, your deposit will be lost and your order will not go ahead.

 

Cancellation

If cancellation of the event takes places we reserve the right to retain your deposit.

If you postpone the event we will endeavour to transfer your order providing the date is suitable for ourselves, otherwise it shall be treated as a cancellation.

We retain the right to cancel the booking in very unusual circumstances beyond our control, such as fire or ill health, during which we will refund any money taken in full. 
If you have paid by card please allow 3-5 working days for your refund to return to your account.

 

Alterations & Changes

It is your responsibility to read & check the quote thoroughly and be specific with design requirements.

If requested, we will endeavour to adjust the design where possible, but sometimes this is not possible according to the nature of the request or amount of notice given. If the alteration affects the cost, or preparation work for the original design has already been undertaken, then your balance will be adjusted accordingly. Please warn us when you pay your deposit if you are undecided on the design.

 Any cake ordered from a picture or photo of a cake produced by any other cake maker, can only be reproduced as our interpretation of that cake and will not be an exact reproduction of the cake in the picture or photo.

 

Non-Edible Items

Most cakes contain small proportions of inedible items, it is the clients responsibility to ensure these are removed by your caterer/guests before consumption e.g. support dowels in tiered cakes, ribbon, wires in sugar flowers, cardboard toppers and decorations etc.

 

Complaints and refunds

Photos of your cake will be sent to you prior collection/delivery to assure everything is correct for example spelling, design etc.

In the unlikely event you are not happy with your cake you must notify us upon sending the photo or receiving your cake so we have to opportunity to rectify your cake in time for your event.

All other complaints must be made within 24 hours of receiving your cake. A refund is only given if the uneaten cake is returned to us, unsuitable for consumption / not as described in the written quote. No refunds are given due to change of mind.

 

Damage

After care instructions are given with all of our cakes, we can not be held responsible for any damages that happen to the cake and/or decorations after it leaves our possession.

If any damage is rendered to the cake after it has left our possession, then you can advise us and request a repair, which will be costed accordingly, including transport costs if appropriate.

 

Allergies and dietary requirements

It is your responsibility to make us aware of any allergy’s or dietary requirements you may have at the time of booking. 
At the moment we do not cater for any gluten/egg/nut allergies.
Please be aware we work with gluten, eggs, dairy, wheat, nuts on a daily basis in our kitchen.
